On November 14, 2020 Paul Felder stepped into the UFC octagon on five days notice. His opponent would be Rafael Dos Anjos. (29-13) with half of his wins coming by way of TKO/Submission. There were many reasons not to take a fight like this, but none of them mattered to him. That’s what makes this fight stand out in the sports world. More importantly, that’s what makes this man stand out in the world of MMA.

Dos Anjos initial opponent was Islam Makhachev. These plans changed when injury forced Islam to drop out of the fight. When opportunity knocks Paul Felder answers. That may not be the saying, but it couldn’t ring more true. This would prove to be a daunting undertaking, because the fight would be had in five days time. The following 25 minutes would show what Felder was all about. A true blood and guts warrior that is willing to put his record, his ranking, and body on the line to show the fans a classic fight.

Though the number on the right side of the ledger may have gone up, the stat that matters most is when the time came to step up he did. The rankings haven’t been updated as of yet, but those don’t matter to him. When the next challenge comes up the “Irish Dragon” will face it head on.
