Thursday Night Football: By the Numbers on Week 11’s matchup of Arizona v Seattle

Both teams enter this week with a 6-3 record. In their last 10 games against each other, the Seahawks have come on top with 5 wins to 4, and one tie. Both have won the majority of their games against the other on the road, and this week we see the Cardinals heading to Seattle.

The average point spread in their games is about 8 points. The biggest spread was 36-6, and that was back in 2016. Most of their games have been decided by 3 points or less, so its looking like it will be another close match.

This season Seattle is ranked 23rd in defensive efficiency, while Arizona is ranked 9th overall. On the offensive side of the ball Seattle is Ranked 4th and Arizona is ranked 12th. In team efficiency, Arizona is ranked 11th and Seattle is Ranked 8th.

Turnover differential is quite close as Seattle sits in the 16th spot and Arizona right behind them at 17. Seattle edges out Arizona in both Passing Yards per Game and per Attempt. Arizona, however, is absolutely destroying Seattle when it comes to both yards per carry and rushing yards per game. In sacks per game, its another tight race with Seattle coming in 12th, with Arizona sitting right behind in 13th.

Cardinals’ DeAndre Hopkins (10) catches a game-winning touchdown catch over Bill’s Tre’Davious White (27) and Micah Hyde (23) with 2 seconds lett in the fourth quarter at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. on Nov. 15, 2020. Buffalo Bills Vs Arizona Cardinals

The spread this week is sitting at Seattle -3, which is honestly surprising when you look at the stats. I wouldn’t play this game if you were looking to make some money. If I were playing, I would take the under and go with Arizona.

This game is going to be close and more than likely will be within 10 points. Momentum is swinging with Arizona, as Seattle is coming off a devastating loss to the Rams and Arizona is coming off the game winning catch from Deandre Hopkins. Kyler Murray is looking like an absolute stud and should show up again for another big game. Kenyan Drake has been cleared to play, so add another weapon to their deadly offense. At this moment, Chris Carson is still set as questionable but isn’t expected to play, so that’s one less weapon on the Seattle side of the ball. Both of these teams are riddled with injuries, Arizona having 21 and Seattle having 29 so neither will be at their absolute best.

Either way, it should be an excellent game to watch with both of these powerful offenses. Good luck to all my betters this week, and I will see y’all next week for Thursday Night Football!
